Just to introduce myself I'm the Director of Northern Architecture and amongst other things we organise the North East Festival of Architecture (NEFA) every year and this year it runs from 12-27th June. Our involvement in the Cakebook project was to form the panel of experts to pick the 100 sites on the list, sites that would represent a 'favour' of NewcastleGateshead and show the 'key ingredients' that make up a city e.g. civic buildings, commercial, retail, leisure, structural etc

We are also working with Blackfriars Restaurant to create the Blackfriars cake as we are based within the Blackfriars courtyard.

Anyhow, the Cakebook Flash picnic falls bang slam in the middle of NEFA this year and is one of many events taking place.
