Where do you think the Flash Mob Picnic should be.....

If only they weren't digging up the pitch of St. James Park in June....

If you're looking for outdoors how about:
Leazes or Exhibition Park or any part of the Town Moor or
Saltwell Park or
the City Stadium off Warwick Street in Heaton, or
Jesmond Dene / Heaton Park / Armstrong Park.

Indoors:
how about one of the venue spaces in either of the Student Unions or
there's a nice new venue space at the back of the Great North Museum.
i'm guessing they'd have an exhibition on but how about floor 4 of the baltic. people could then not only walk round the map but also view the whole thing from the viewing area on floor 5 as well.
What about the castle keep for an indoor venue? It's hard to suggest ideas without knowing how big the whole will be.

I like the idea of holding it where you can see the 'real thing' like in the Baltic the area above the Cafe might be good, then as Katy said people could go up to the top to have a squiz too. The keep would serve this purpose too.

In terms of an outdoor space I like Jesmond Dene or Leazes Park
Not to put a downer on the last suggestion as it would be good but my insider knowledge says that Jesmond Dene is and still will be a building site in June!

Castle Keep is good but not very flat. What about Blackfriars lawn or outside the Civic Centre?
Ah foiled, I thought of Blackfriars too, well Steph did. I think that's good because it's so central. I was thinking of using the indoor space in the Castle.
I really like the idea of the Baltic. It's purpose built for displaying works of art and that's what we're creating! Great viewing opportunities as mentioned by others.
The venue is now confirmed...!
