Permalink Reply by Wendy bentley on June 26, 2011 at 21:19 What a brilliant day; well done to all the bakers and organisers. This was my first Cake Book and I've loved it
It seemed a long way back to West Yorkshire but The Corn Exchange arrived back in one piece. Tomorrow we are taking it for the team who are building the Forget me Not Children's Hospice here in Huddersfield - quite like the idea of feeding builders with a building.
Thanks everyone.

Linsdisfarne was made by Jyll Cradock from the Feathers Inn at Hedley on the Hill, The same person who made the Angel of the North last year.
You can find out a bit more about us at www.thefeathers.net contcat us on info@thefeathers.net or call Jyll on 07584055182
Incidentally the Oysters we were selling at Cakebook on Sunday were from Holy Island and we used to get our mussels from there too, but sadly no more.
We were expecting that the cake would be in a charity auction this week but we seem to have got the dates wrong and its next week by which time the cake maybe stale.
So if you know who at Lindisfarne NT made the comment and if they are interested to use it in some way then please pass on the contact details above.
Regards
Richard Cradock
cake makers assistant
