Winners of Cakebook (North)
On June 26th 2011 a giant, edible map of the North East and Yorkshire was built at the National Trust's Gibside, Gateshead.
One hundred teams of amateur and professional bakers came from across the UK to build their favourite landmark heritage site in cake. The creations were placed on our map to create a visual and gastronomical feast as Cakebookers and the public picnicked around the perimeter.
It was a magical event, thanks to everyone who took part and made it so special.
We're already planning a new Cakebook event for 2012 so please sign up to this website and we'll keep you informed. For all other enquiries contact simon@graceonline.co.uk
